The Narita Airport Terminal 2, which was opened in 1992, has not been extensively renovated in 22 years and has remained the same. The key renovations were the “arrival entrance†on the first floor and the basement level. The arrival port will be transformed into a traditional Japanese sliding door style. In the reconstructed Terminal 2, the overall color will change from gray to white, and the lights will be replaced with LED lighting.
It is reported that the renovation of Terminal 2 is expected to be completed in the spring of 2016, with a total project budget of approximately 900 million yen. According to the introduction of Narita Airport, the renovation project of Terminal 1 will also be launched.
