The SuperSpeed ​​USB 3.0 connector is backward compatible with USB 2.0 connectors, minimizing connector form factor changes and supporting a wide range of driver architectures while preserving customer and component expectations. By combining high-speed data transfer with superior power management for high-capacity storage devices, the SuperSpeed ​​USB 3.0 connector increases the interactivity of multimedia devices in consumer electronics and audio/video applications.
