5. Electromagnetic interference restrictions on the outside world and resistance to external electromagnetic interference

1. Standards for LED lighting fixtures and final application products

Due to the separation of the industries left behind by China's planned economy and the narrow knowledge of many lighting industry practitioners, we often hear people say that "LED lighting fixtures and final application products do not have current assessment standards." In fact, this argument is Very naive. For example, various final application products using LEDs as a light source do not have any changes in the functions and product attributes of the lamps or self-ballasted lamps that they constitute. Therefore, the current standard requirements of the lamps and lanterns almost cover their assessment contents. At present, all kinds of lamps and lanterns using LED light sources must meet the safety standards, electromagnetic compatibility requirements and light distribution requirements of the lamps. In addition, the assessment criteria for on-site lighting effects of this type of lighting are also fully suitable for such lighting. In other words, the assessment requirements for lighting products using LEDs as light sources (which are also terminal products for applications) have long existed. However, there are still many practitioners in our industry who do not recognize it.

2, LED control device product standards

In terms of LED control devices, internationally, the IEC61347-2-13 safety standard requirements and ICE62384 performance requirements have been met internationally in the previous year. China's corresponding national standards have been submitted for approval this year. These two standards and the reference GB19510, 1/IEC61347-1 standard and China's corresponding EMC standards have formed a complete assessment requirements for lighting LED control devices. In addition, in the GB/TXXXX/ICE62384 LED module control device performance requirements standard (approved draft), also increased the LED control device energy efficiency assessment requirements. 3. Standards for LED and its module products for lighting

For lighting LEDs and their modules, the product standards in this area are emerging and need to continuously improve. This year, China has formulated the "Safety Requirements for Self-Balancing LED Lights Above 50 V for General Lighting" and "Performance Requirements for Self-Balancing LED Lamps for General Lighting". This product is used independently and has a higher correlation with other accessory products. With its small features, its standards are relatively complete. Coupled with the applicable EMC assessment standards, has basically become a complete assessment system.

For lighting LEDs and their LED modules, the five standards developed this year, “General Terms and Definitions for LED and LED Modules for General Lighting”, “Test Methods for LED Modules for General Lighting”, “Safety Requirements for LED Modules for General Lighting,” and “General Performance Requirements for LED Modules for Lighting, and Industry Standards "Performance Requirements for Light-Emitting Diodes for General Lighting" (has become a draft for approval). The five standards formulated this year have greatly improved the assessment requirements for the finished products. Third, the existing general LED lighting and its final product standard defects

According to the contents of the first part of the product standard system components in the first part of this article, to review the current (and forthcoming) standards of the second part of this article and the content of these standards, it can be found that there are obvious defects in some product standards that use LEDs as a light source. The performance in the following aspects: 1, as a lighting source, because of its own particularity, must meet the coordination requirements of the control device to work with it, for example: in the fluorescent lamp performance standards and HID light source standards for each The specifications of the lamps all give the “ballast design requirements”, which can make the control device provide a normal work for the light source during use, exert its specialty, and ensure the suitable conditions for the service life of the light source. There is no such requirement in the performance standards for lighting LEDs.

3, lamps and lanterns belong to durable consumer goods, so in the safety requirements of lamps and lanterns, the durability test project requires that after the light source abnormal state test and replace the light source, the lamps and lanterns can still work normally, in the heat test, to measure the internal electronic components And the temperature of the component, in the continuous work to achieve thermal equilibrium, the surface temperature exceeds the tc value. The junction temperature of the LED light source during operation is an important parameter related to the light efficiency and service life, but there are currently no relevant requirements for measurement and limitation in the luminaire standards.

The above three points are the most important link for lighting LEDs into the general lighting field. They play a vital role in the light source products and the final lighting products. However, at present, there is a clear disconnect between this industry in China. The main reasons are two aspects. First, the LED and its module manufacturers have not conducted serious verification on the mass-produced products, and failed to provide the corresponding product for each type of product under typical working conditions. The corresponding curve of Vf-junction temperature and the corresponding curve of light effect-junction temperature also do not provide the temperature limit value of the reference point measured by the LED light source under the typical working condition. Another reason is that the vast majority of lighting manufacturing companies do not fully understand and realize that, as a light source, in addition to satisfying general safety requirements, light efficiency requirements, and EMC requirements, LEDs used as light sources must also ensure that the LED When all kinds of the most unfavorable conditions occur, it is still necessary to ensure its good working conditions, so that the characteristics of long-life LED can be fully exerted.

Fourth, efforts and prospects

In the process of formulating relevant standards for general lighting LEDs that had been submitted for approval in 2008, a few people of insight in the country have considered the above problems, but suffer from the lack of sufficient verification data and relevant information, so they cannot rush to include this part of the content. Writing into these standards, only the industry-standard “Light Emitting Diode Performance Requirements for General Lighting,” presents a comparatively crude light efficiency-junction temperature characteristic curve and reference thermal resistance measurement method. This explains, on the other hand, the inadequacy of these standards for this year's approval of LEDs as general lighting sources and the features that will need to be revised in the near future.

As scientific research and testing institutions and professional standardization technical committees, we should study the characteristics of the lighting LED and its modules, research more suitable standard LED lights, and propose better and more complete measurement methods to make our country in this respect.
