Snapchat launches AR pet called "Puggerfly"

Snapchat recently showed great interest in augmented reality (AR) and announced the launch of a new AR pet called "puggerfly."

This pug is deeply loved by netizens because of its cheerful nature and ridiculous appearance, making it a net red and attracting attention. Snap and British Mobile combine three pugs and butterflies to create a new virtual pet.

The elements of virtual pets became popular in the 1990s. With the development of modern AR technology, it created an AR virtual pet that can be used in 7 AR shots, self-timer mode and environment simulation.

When it grows from a naughty flying dog to an adult, its growth is like telling a story. Users will be able to teach this "puggerfly" how to recognize your gesture, so a specific gesture will let your AR pet go through its commands.

In the simulated virtual world, the user can let the AR pet walk and see it interact with the real environment. This pug will even be in sync with the real-world time zone, so he will be awake during the day and sleep at night.
