Circuit Operation Principle The ozone sterilizer circuit consists of a delay circuit, a power supply circuit, a voltage doubled ozone generating circuit and related components, as shown in Figure 9-107.

The delay circuit is composed of a time base integrated circuit IC and capacitors C2, C4 and the like.
The power supply circuit is composed of a Zener diode VS and a rectifier diode VD1, a capacitor Cl, a CO, and the like.
The double voltage type ozone generating circuit is composed of a rectifier diode VD2-VD6, a capacitor C5-C9, a resistor R6, an ozone tube VG, and the like.
VLl is a power indicating LED, and V愧 is an ozone generating state indicating LED. S is the power switch and FU is the fuse. The triac VT is used to control the ozone generating circuit. A is a metal plate for touch.
After the power switch S is turned on, the AC 220V voltage is stepped down by Cl, VS regulated, and VDl rectified and stepped down to provide +8.4V operating voltage for the 4 and 8 pins of the IC. The power indicator VLl is illuminated. At this time, the 3 pin of lC is low level, the thyristor VT is not turned on, the ozone generating circuit does not work, the ozone tube VG has no ozone, and the working state indicator VL2 does not emit light.
When the metal plate A is touched by hand, the human body sensing signal is added from the 3 pin of the IC, and the delay circuit inside the IC works, and the 3 pin changes from a low level to a high level, so that the thyristor VT is triggered to be turned on, and the ozone is turned on. When the circuit is energized, the ozone tube VG generates ozone, and the working status indicator Vl2 lights up. The delay is about 5 minutes, and the 3 pin of the IC changes to a low level again, so that the VT is turned off, the ozone generating circuit stops working, and the VL2 is extinguished. If the metal plate A is touched again, the above process is repeated.
Component selection
Rl-R3 selects 1/4W metal membrane resistor or carbon membrane resistor for use; R4-R6 selects 1/2W metal membrane resistor or carbon membrane resistor for use.
Both CO and C4 use aluminum electrolytic capacitors with a withstand voltage of 25V; Cl selects polyester capacitors or CBB non-inductive capacitors with a withstand voltage of 400V; polyester capacitors or monolithic capacitors for C2 and C3; and withstand voltage values ​​for C5-C9 600V polyester capacitor or CBB non-inductive capacitor.
VDl selects 1N4007 type rectifier diode; VD2-VD6 selects 2DGL type high voltage rectifier diode.
VS selects lW, 9V Zener diode.
VT selects the bidirectional thyristor of lA, 400V.
The IC selects the NE555 type time base integrated circuit.
FU uses lA, 250V fuses.
