Chery will jointly launch an L3-class self-driving car with NVIDIA

According to foreign media reports, Chery announced that it will enter into a partnership with Nvidia to produce Level 3 autopilots using ZF's ProAI platform. NVIDIA and Chery can not only promote the entry of L3 self-driving cars into the market, but also help to carry this function in low-priced cars. PC graphics chip maker Nvidia has been working hard to expand its technology, Chery is a good helper.

Chinese automaker Chery will produce Level 3 autopilots, Level 3 autopilot is powered by ZF's ProAI platform, and the ProAI platform uses NVIDIA GPUs in its own smart driving system. Chery announced the cooperation agreement at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, USA today. Prior to this, Nvidia also announced at the 2018 Las Vegas International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) that it will further cooperate with ZF and Baidu in the future. Baidu also made important contributions to the development of the ZF ProAI platform.

Chery is one of the largest automakers in China. After the cooperation with NVIDIA and ZF, it will not only ensure that the Chery Level 3 self-driving car will enter the market, but also allow Chery to sell this product at a relatively reasonable price. In general, Chery will integrate technology products into its low-end automotive products. According to the above report, Chery seems to be working in the field of autonomous vehicles.

There is some discussion about the technology that should be incorporated into the vehicle at the personal consumption level, and Level 3 autopilot technology is also the focus of discussion. Some automakers and critics have expressed concern about Level 3 autopilot, which still requires drivers to manually control the vehicle. Their concern is that this may cause the driver to become more accustomed to the automatic driving function. Once the system needs manual control, the driver is absent-minded and unable to achieve manual driving.

It is still unclear when Chery plans to bring these self-driving cars with ZF ProAI technology to market. However, we can imagine that Chery still has a lot of work to do to ensure that the technology is mature and the road is safe to use.

CAT8 Ethernet Cable

Category 8, or just Cat8, is the latest standard in copper Ethernet Cable. It represents a significant leap in data transfer speed over the earlier Cat7 and Cat6a network cables. It uses standard RJ45 connectors and is backwards compatible with previous standards.

Cat8 is the fastest Ethernet cable yet. It's data transfer speed of up to 40 Gbps is four times faster than Cat6a, while its support of bandwidth up to 2 GHz (four times more than standard Cat6a bandwidth) reduces latency for superior signal quality.
