Indeed, today's street lights have become an important port for smart city information transmission. GE Lighting, Philips and other industry giants have also launched their own intelligent street lighting systems. For example, GE successfully launched LightGridTM, a smart street lighting system in 2014. It has been installed in San Diego in North America and São Paulo in South America.

“One of the development priorities of GE Lighting and the entire GE Group in the future is smart street lights. It is understood that GE has specifically allocated $5 million for lighting to accelerate the construction of intelligent street lighting systems and digital intelligent systems, and has established a software center with more than 1,500 software engineers in Silicon Valley, California, for each business.
