The recalled AmerTac nightlights consisted of 3 models, namely Amerelle (product model number 71190 on the outer packaging), Amertac (product model number 327895 on the outer packaging) and Everyday Basics (product model number 076092 on the outer packaging), and nightlights. The product number on the model is 71190 or 71190 A. The nightlight is rectangular, about 2.1875 inches high, 3.5 inches wide, and 1.25 inches deep. The front of the nightlight is white or nickel-white, with four horizontal openings and a circular light sensor above the opening. The back of the nightlight is a gray plastic material marked with the AmerTacTM logo, product model, "SY" identification code and "ETL". The recall is limited to nightlights marked "SY" on the back. The night light is sold throughout the United States from March 2009 to October 2010, and the unit price is approximately US$6 per unit.
The number of products recalled this time was approximately 229,390 baht (including approximately 227,000 baht in the United States and 2,390 baht in Canada). The reason for the recall is that the night light is overheated, melted or smoked due to the short circuit of the circuit, which may cause fire or cause the user to be burned.
