OSRAM's latest LED module and ultra-thin LED downlight (Figure)

The LED light engine, PrevaLED Core, can be described as "an efficient and future-ready platform for LED lighting." The module is designed with the same interface and size to help lighting developers reduce product development. Time and time to market.


OSRAM: PrevaLED The PrevaLED module with a circular design (50 mm diameter) is the same size if the light output is not taken into account. The luminous flux ranges from 800lm to 3000lm, the luminous efficiency is up to 75lm/W, and the color temperature is 3000K or 4000K.
Osram said the system features high quality light source quality, a color rendering index (CRI) greater than 90, and does not affect system efficiency.
The modular design of the form factor allows luminaire manufacturers to reduce the time required to develop new luminaires, despite the rapid development cycle of LED technology. Design ideas can be evaluated to speed up the design cycle while reducing costs.
The light engine has a beam angle of 140° and a wide beam range. The light engine can be flexibly combined with various control devices to enable simple integration of additional functions such as dimming. Osram said that the light engine is ideal for downlights.
QOD ultra-thin LED downlights OSRAM also introduced QOD, a new 16-group LED chip integrated LED downlight that can be installed anywhere. The product is only 8mm high and measures 70x70mm. This luminaire is designed to provide accent lighting for home lighting and can also be used in space-constrained locations such as cabinets, bookshelves and wardrobes.


The QOD LED downlight QOD kit in lighting applications consists of three downlights with an ultra-thin junction box, which also includes a main switch and a 12V DC power supply that can be connected to a power supply. In addition, QOD is available, and five QODs with heavy duty plugs can be connected to one dispenser.

High TG PCB

The glass transition temperature (Tg) is an important normative dimension for the base material that determines the temperature at which the resin matrix converts from a glassy, brittle condition into a soft, elastic one.


Normal Tg is 130-140°C. Middle Tg is 150-160°C. High Tg is over 170°C


High TG PCB is made with high Tg material which glass transition temperature (Tg) is over 170°C. Standard PCB are manufactured with TG 140°C laminates, which can withstand an operating temperate of 110°C.
