Avago Technologies has announced the launch of a new line of ultra-bright Ultra Bright II series of elliptical red, green and blue LED light-emitting diodes for the ESS (Electronic Signs and Signals) application market. Avago's 4 and 5 mm elliptical in-line LEDs are ideal for full-color electronic signage and signage applications such as pedestrian-specific signs, variable information signs, scoreboards and lane lights. Avago's HLMP-Lx63 (4 mm) and HLMP-Hx63 (5 mm) series of LEDs offer elliptical illumination, wide viewing angles and high-intensity illumination, allowing the display to be clearly recognized at any angle in bright sunlight. These LEDs also have a fairly smooth matching illumination pattern that ensures consistent color mixing in full color applications.
